Barleygrass is made from the juvenile shoots of the barley plant. When cut it is brimming in minerals including calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc, as well as being rich in vitamin E and protein.
As well as other benefits, vitamin E and zinc contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, helping to protect your body from the damage caused by free radical formation.
A single serving of Barleygrass has more than a third of your recommended intake of iron which supports red blood cell formation and oxygen transport around the body. Enjoy Barleygrass in a smoothie or added to juice and enjoy as a part of a healthy lifestyle and balanced diet.
Add to fruit juice, smoothies, soups, dips, salad dressing, stir fries, pasta sauces or see below for our recipes ideas. We like 10-15 grams per 200 ml serving, but you're welcome to use more or less if you wish.
